We understand the importance of technical expertise in conjunction with knowledge of a country’s context. As a result, we focus on deep long-term engagement in key countries, and we have built a global network of experts with porous boundaries.

We invest in teams of country and regional experts who continuously engage with change agents and become part of the ecosystem. We also invest in long-term relationships with country and regional partners, like domestic think tanks, policy support organizations, and universities. We create space for our partners to lead, which expands the capacity of these institutions to become the go-to sources of expertise for change agents in their regions.

R4D is working with Rising Academy Network to improve student literacy incomes using adaptive learning and experimentation. Rising Academy Network and R4D's Learning Lab team implement adaptive learning experiments in three Junior Secondary Schools in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
